What is a mandala?

The mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Asian cultures. It can be understood in two different ways: externally as a visual representation of the universe, or internally as a guide for various practices found in many Asian traditions, including meditation. In Hinduism and Buddhism, it is believed that by entering the mandala and moving towards its center, you are guided in the cosmic process of transforming the universe from suffering to joy and happiness.

YIN YANG MEANING: A Chinese philosophical concept describing interconnected opposing forces. In Chinese cosmology, the universe creates itself from a primary chaos of material energy organized into yin and yang cycles and taking shape into objects and lives.
